Utah Storytelling Events

Welcome Message and Opportunities

Celebrate storytelling worldwide through Tellabration!, the
holidays, or any reason with all the wonderful Utah storytelling events.

If you know any events that are open to the public, then please
email me.  Deadline to submit is every 1st and 15th of the month.

Attend the official Tellabration! event in Utah located at the
American West Heritage Center near Logan.  This is one of many
worldwide events celebrating the art as listed at
http://www.tellabration.org.  Our Utah one will be Saturday,
November 21st from 10:00am to 10:00pm with workshops and concerts.  Grants made it possible for national teller Dovie Thomason to join the Utah tellers.  More details below.

December 10th, 2009 is the deadline--if you are a National
Storytelling Network member--to send a 10-12 minute story to
audition for the Regional Concert to take place at the 2010
National Storytelling Conference in Los Angeles, CA from July
29th-August 1st.  Go to http://www.storynet.org for details.

February 5th, 2010 is the deadline to apply and audition for the
Utah Arts Festival.  Go to http://uaf.org for details.

Besides this email list, receive tips, trends, and storytelling
games
through the new monthly e-newsletter called "The Rachel
Response: Storytelling Adventures".  You can sign-up for this free
at the homepage of http://www.rachelhedman.com.  Go to
http://aweber.com/b/UmiY for glimpse of November issue.

For those on Facebook, the Utah Storytelling Guild is a group on
it.  You can also follow announcements from the guild on Twitter
through utstoryguild.  When you follow StorytellingAdv on Twitter, you will receive the daily "YouthTellerTip" besides everyday comments from me.
