Storytelling: Social Justice
workshop for three Sundays, only 4 spots left
Dates/Times: Sundays, August 9, 16, 23, 2020
11:00am-1:30pm MDT / 1:00pm-3:30pm EDT
Cost: $135.00/person
Details:
This session will combine hopes and cultural thoughts to address social justice issues, like suicide, PTSD, poverty, immigration, race reconciliation, etc. Learn the most effective ways to create a story surrounding current issues, and then join a group discussion and brainstorm how we can use new and old stories as vehicles for awareness and change.
Quote from previous attendee: “I have a feeling that part of this feeling of power, has to do with a deeper recognition of the purposefulness of our need to tell stories to affect justice amongst all beings in the world and there is a responsiveness in the air to hearing that now. We are reflecting perhaps that need and calling.. – Bekki Tippens, about Sharing the Fire Conference April
2016
