2 Dates/Time to Fill for Provo Pioneer Village--
The following dates are still needed: July 29th, August 26th
Provo Pioneer Village is starting a storytelling evening on Monday nights throughout the summer - June through August. Elaine Brewster is seeking tellers who would each like to come tell on a Monday night (6-7 pm). The telling will be outside under a canopy—intimate enough for small groups, but open enough for a larger group. If it rains, we can duck into the Carriage
House. The sweet little Village is located in Provo on 5th West between 5th and 6th North. This telling evening gives an opportunity to tell old tales or Pioneer tales. But people of that era simply told stories, so really, any story, even personal stories, would be appropriate. The point is for people to get together in the “old-fashioned tradition” of listening to stories. It is volunteer. First come, first served. If interested, contact Elaine at
brewstersinger@me.com.
Up to 10 Spots to Fill--all do not need to be filled though as many as possible is the goal--Volunteer Storytelling--
Alta View Elementary in Sandy, Utah is having a summer reading program at the school library, Roadrunners Read!, on Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. from June 11-August 13 (10 sessions). They plan to have a storytime in the Kiva area at 9:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. at each session. Contact Allyn Kau for questions a
well as to exchange emails by calling (562) 712-2450. Then Allyn can email volunteer applications through Canyons School District and the event itself.
