In-person & Virtual Field Trips - know an educator?
While the general public is always welcomed to our annual Summit & Festival, we do encourage field trips that are in-person and virtual. The Summit & Festival is from May 8-11, 2023 with viewing to June 15, 2023. So if you know an educator (or are one), then explore what works
for K-12th grade as well as higher education. Our field trips can also work for homeschooling or other groups. We are pleased as different schools are registering. We are honored that a group from the Blind Center will join us, too.
Alpine School District Storytelling Festival
We were honored to select 15 youth (10 with in-person slots, 5 with virtual slots) for our Summit & Festival. We appreciate Alpine School District for continuing their long-lived program. Of course, besides our event, we made sure to let these youth know about the National Youth
Storytellers. Why not be featured and be upon more stages? That NYS deadline is March 24, 2023 while our open call (if not a feed-in like Alpine) is until April 23, 2023. Email info@storycrossroads.org if you need guidance. |
Summit Vista senior living - performance
Can you believe that we are almost to the performance? After a 10-week program at the Summit Vista senior living center? This is the 2nd year offering a Creative Aging program guided by Laurie Allen. April 4, 2023 from 11am to Noon will be a time of great celebration. We are
grateful for the funding from the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, Utah Legislature, and E.A. Michelson Philanthropy. |
"Winged Words" came out for The Story Beast e-pub. Did you already explore it? As a heads up, the next deadline is May 1, 2023 with the theme "Bright Babblings." Whether or not you submit, spread the word. Enjoy the already published issues. While this is a different entity than Story
Crossroads, we are pleased to see this e-publication that is available for free for anyone and all over the world. All details can be found at storybeast.org. And...the Story Crossroads Executive Director happens to be the one that launched the idea and worked along amazing people to have it come to pass. You can subscribe to the Beastly Blog and/or the YouTube Channel.
On March 4, 2023, Mo Reynolds taught the cues given by the audience when engaged versus being distracted. We created a long list to give guidance based on our experiences. She even had her husband come and lead us in a mindfulness exercise. You can still order past workshops for recordings/handouts ( storycrossroads.org/AllThingsStory - scroll to bottom) On March 17, 2023, Janine Evans performed for our 69th House Concert...in-person AND live-streamed (see video below). We laughed and pondered Irish stories. We sang "Cockles & Mussels" together and received an Irish blessing. At the end, we honored Jim
Luter who was known for donning a leprechaun outfit. He will always be remembered. As for future events, we have at least two every month. Click button below for what's next from Paul Strickland teaching (April 15) and Karla Huntsman performing (April 28). Of course, you need to plan on our Summit & Festival (May
8-11). |
We are thrilled that you can view our live-streamed 69th House Concert from March 17, 2023 performed by Janine Evans. Enjoy our future house concerts in-person OR live-streamed. See more videos at our YouTube Channel.
If you or someone you know has a story video that you want us to see, then let us know by emailing info@storycrossroads.org.
