Working with Jim Brule' to make "Storytelling Basics"
easier
For almost a year, our "Storytelling Basics in 8 Hours" self-led, online course has been nationally-accredited and received the Storytelling World Award. We are ready to have videos to not only promote this free resource, but to also guide people easily on how to return to the Story Crossroads Academy. Jim Brule'
has helped with videos before such as with our Story Crossroads Memberships or our Zoom Basics video. By the end of January 2023, watch for what he will develop for us. |
Reaching out to businesses
About every other week, Ramona Lucius and William Boardman meet virtually with Rachel Hedman to work out how to approach businesses to increase funding for projects and get closer to paid staff. Ramona and William have fantastic ideas that will see fruition in 2023. We thank them for their time and talents. Of
course, if you are linked to a business and wish to connect, reach out. Email info@storycrossroads.org. |
The Story Beast e-pub - 6th issue! free & taking submissions
Enjoy in magazine style OR download the pdf. While this is a different entity than Story Crossroads, we are pleased to see this e-publication that is available for free for anyone and all over the world. You can enjoy the articles, short
stories, poems, and art...or you can submit pieces to be considered. All details can be found at storybeast.org. And...the Story Crossroads Executive Director happens to be the one that launched the idea and worked along amazing people to have it come to pass. You can subscribe to the Beastly Blog and/or the YouTube Channel.
On December 3, 2022, Misty Mator taught on how to work with young children (Pre-K to 5th Grade). We delved into motivations behind impulses/interruptions and how kids can gain ownership with the storyteller in the stories. We had people raving about the helps. You can still order past workshops for
recordings/handouts ( storycrossroads.org/AllThingsStory - scroll to bottom) On December 13, 2022, Mary Louise Hughes shared favorite Christmas stories including about four ruffians with the Navy and what their commander decided to do for them. The weather was...snowy. Yet, almost everyone made it anyway. We had
a full house and a full feast of stories. Can you believe it was our 66th house concert? As for future events, we have at least two every month. Click button below for what's next from Rachel Hedman teaching (Jan. 7) and Steffani Raff performing (Jan. 27). |
We are thrilled for the benefit virtual workshop taught by Rachel Hedman on Saturday, January 7, 2023 on "BOOM! Catching Attention of Media & People." Then, 100% of proceeds benefit a Spanish version of "Storytelling Basics in 8 Hours." See hints of what to expect. See more videos at our YouTube Channel.
If you or someone you know has a story video that you want us to see, then let us know by emailing info@storycrossroads.org.
