Teens - Could Writing Turn to Telling?
Salt Lake Teens Write (SLTW) is having its final 2022 season, Fiercely Fictional, this Fall during which they will explore all things (speculative) fiction. Every Tuesday, they will dive into genres like sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, and horror. Get your questions answered on becoming better
writers. Yet, in time, Story Crossroads hopes to transform these teen writers into oral storytellers. We will meet with Tara Hogan, Youth Programs Coordinator, with the Salt Lake City Community College Writing Center. |
Marketing Workshop: Help Our Nonprofit
Our Executive Director, Rachel Hedman, taught a marketing workshop for Northlands Storytelling Network. She was given the recording so that it could be offered to people with 100% of the proceeds helping Story Crossroads. Do you or someone you know struggle with marketing or having a
budget for it? Let them know of this chance. Comes with handouts and Saved Chat. |
The Story Beast e-pub - 3rd issue! free & taking submissions
While this is a different entity than Story Crossroads, we are pleased to see this e-publication that is available for free for anyone and all over the world. You can enjoy the articles, short stories, poems, and art...or you can submit pieces to be considered. All
details can be found at storybeast.org. And...the Story Crossroads Executive Director happens to be the one that launched the idea and worked along amazing people to have it come to pass.
On September 5, 2022, Tim Lowry delved into his experience of telling stories from American History and how we could warm the audience in case some are "Ew!" when hearing the word "history." Remember you can order past workshops. On September 16, 2022, Howard Little performed for the
63rd House Concert. He told the story that got him a scholarship during college as well as hilarious adventures that happened to him. We would have loved to listen to him longer! As for future events, we have at least two every month. Click the button below to get a feel for what's next from Tim Lowry teaching to Howard Little performing. |
We are thrilled for Elaine Brewster to teach a virtual workshop on Saturday, October 15, 2022 on "What About that Voice! Using the voice in healthy ways for telling stories." Hear some words from her on what to expect. See more videos at our YouTube Channel.
If you or someone you know has a story video that you want us to see, then let us know by emailing info@storycrossroads.org.
