Welcoming Alpine School District
True, the youth here is not from Alpine School District (photo credit to Vladimir Chopine). But it does mean that besides the Murray, Canyons, and Jordan School Districts feeding into our annual Summit & Festival, we will also see 10+ youth performing from Alpine. We celebrate all generations of storytelling
and this pleases us beyond measure.
Impact from Summit & Festival
We appreciate all the volunteers from our May 9-12, 2022 that could be viewed to June 15, 2022. Here you see Jerri Hurley and Billie Jones from our Board serving and making sure our tellers had t-shirts and food (photo credit to Vladimir Chopine). We impacted 1,022 people with our virtual and in-person field
trips, outreaches, and events. The most popular films were the Language of Story: Korean (view on our YouTube channel) as well as the Scottish ghost story told by Lorna MacDonald Czarnota and the Oregon Trail story told by Holly Robison. Of course, everything was wonderful.

Pleasant Grove Library to Utah Renaissance Faire
We get to celebrate and spread the word about Story Crossroads at two in-person events during the summer. Two youth tellers, Elizabeth and Genevieve
Myers, will accompany Rachel Hedman with a public performance on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Pleasant Grove Library, Pleasant Grove, Utah. People will discover our free resources including our "Storytelling Basics in 8 Hours" self-led course. We will continue a third year to do Story Fortune Telling at the Utah Renaissance Faire on August 26-27, 2022 in Lehi, Utah.
Thank You to our Past Presenters
We happened to have a busy June 11, 2022 with three events, all superb.
Dr. Brian Sturm and Dr. Amy Sayle shared stories and people could ask questions in real-time (see "Story Video of the Week.")
We had 14 people who shared poems and personal reflections about Paul Laurence Dunbar. Most of these performers took our Dunbar workshop from Oni Lasana in February 2022. Then, we partnered with Artists Standing Strong Together (#Dunbar150) and were thrilled at the high-quality and heart given to these pieces. Tears of joy indeed.
Finally, it is humbling and inspiring that we celebrated our 60th House Concert with Lynn Wing. 60! But we are not done as we will still have our 61st House Concert on July 15, 2022 featuring Ginger Parkinson in West Jordan, Utah.

We are thrilled to show what we did on June 11 with The Big Why series. We talked about the stars and why they are important to us as humans. Please share this video with anyone you wish. We appreciate Dr. Brian Sturm and Dr. Amy Sayle. See more videos at our YouTube Channel.
If you or someone you know has a story video that you want us to see, then let us know by emailing info@storycrossroads.org.
