On September 6, 2021, Jeff Gere was dedicated enough to have sound check at 4:30am and start his virtual workshop at 5:00am due to being from Hawai'i. All of us were grateful to his commitment as well as the energy and attention he gave to expanding our minds on how to better engage our audiences through the
screen. This was highly interactive and quite the workout. And worth every moment!
We had our 54th House Concert on September 17, 2021 with Elaine Brewster and the Express Mail Fiddlers. They did have to compete with some stadium cheers due to being Homecoming weekend...though Elaine wove that into the stories. Still, we learned so much more about the Pony Express and Elaine's family
history connection. The musicians were delightful and was a type of reunion due to the pandemic. Thank you to the Young Family for hosting.

Dr. Csenge Zalka always attracts the crowd of 40 registrants (and 10 more after-the-fact) as we celebrated her accomplishment of reading 200 collections of folktales from 200 countries. She shared insight on what was similar as well as the countries that were most difficult to even find one story let alone a
collection. There was never a pause as people asked questions led by Dr. Margaret Read MacDonald.
We had our 55th House Concert on October 1, 2021 with Cherie Davis sharing ghostly legends of Salt Lake City. One of our neighbor kids kept talking about it the whole next day (as reported by the Mom). She sold a few copies of "Spooks and Saints" to delighted fans...and a couple people already had her book
before attending. We will remember those ghost children, the one who thought he was all-powerful, and the cursed gravedigger. Thank you to the Hedman Family for hosting.
